UP Congress chief Raj Babbar on Saturday claimed that UP Police was working more as a `bouncer’ of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath than working to maintain law and order or helping aggrieved persons.
“The UP Police was brazenly engaging in brutal assault or even firing on farmers, teachers, youths or who so ever was trying to questioning the misrule of Yogi government or trying to demonstrate to highlight grievances,” alleged Babbar.
“The police were busy bumping off petty criminals at the behest of the government while on the other hand, hardened criminals were being patronised by the BJP government and striking freely from road to jails,” charged the stateCongress chief.
Addressing party workers during an hour-long dharna to protest rising crime, grievances of farmers, youths, teachers, at GPO Park on Saturday, Babbar said that the economy was in a shambles due to the implementation of half- baked GST and the youths were not getting any jobs. …
